The Clear Blue Oceans Foundation Inc. (CBO Foundation) is a 501 c (3) U.S. Tax-exempt Hawaiian non-profit organization, founded by the Shark (me). Although the CBO Foundation’s mission is clearly rooted in environmental ocean issues, it is not, nor does it claim to be, an environmental organization. I view us as a Hybrid non-profit that merges its initiatives and programs with for-profit businesses to accomplish a common social objective and defined outcomes.

 

The CBO Foundation’s primary goals and objectives have changed somewhat since the CoVid-19 pandemic disaster hit the world, including adding an estimated 1.5 million. face masks into our seas. Covid also caused some projects and programs to be cancelled. We intend to establish offices within California and Hawaii in late 2021 to continue building on efforts to increase awareness of the growing single-use plastic packaging waste crisis mainly ocean plastic waste and marine debris, plus reducing overfishing and eliminating shark fining practices.  

 

The CBO Foundation through our podcast series will showcase the impact plastic packaging waste has on our coastlines, tropical islands and reefs. They will seek to assist in marine life conservation and beach clean-up efforts efforts, and help fund outside ocean groups.  We accept the cryptocurrencies of Bitcoin and Bitcoin Cash from international contributors who wish to help us address these ocean issues. 

 

The CBO Foundation is not anti-plastic, but it will promote and seek to educate the public on ways to help reduce the daily use of plastic packaged items. With the support of our donors we intend o help shift the mindset of consumers and retailers at the source, the local level, through an aggressive but focused platform designed to shift plastic packaging patterns within retail stores, restaurants and with product manufacturers, while promoting a better waste strategy.

 

The CBO Foundation is developing the Clear Blue Oceans Estate Vineyards (CBO Vineyards) project as a unique long-term funding strategy. Although several years from becoming operational, the proposed vineyard will have a tropical theme with a goal to " Healing Our Oceans - One Glass of Wine At A Time"

 

A strategy designed to further increase awareness of the many ocean issues and reduce plastic waste. Our Building The Dream podcast series will share the project development process in full detail and living color. We hope to have the Vineyard project started by late 2023, pending funding.

Together we can and must effect a meaningful change in consumption and waste plastic management habits. Our collective goal is to engage everyone directly regarding the ocean and plastic waste issues, offer solutions and reusable products. To promote sustainable seafood and waste practices in food and beverage operations, while showcasing the beauty and importance of our oceans and tropical reefs.
